Component Setup

There are a number of steps that can be taken for the component set up.

1.Connect the satellite, cable or the antenna to the VCR or the DVD recorder and then to your TV to enable your VCR, TV or the DVD recorder to get the broadcast , cable or satellite signals. It must be noted that if you have both a VCR and a DVD, you should split the incoming cable, satellite or antenna signal and connect them separately

2. Connect the audio and the video outputs of your VCR or the DVD recorder to your AV receiver’s VCR video inputs.

3. Now connect the AV receiver’s VCR audio and the video outputs to the audio and the video inputs of the VCR to allow your VCR or the DVD recorder to record video signals coming through the AV receiver.

4. Connect one of the video outputs of your DVD player to the video input of your AV receiver. Also connect the digital optical or digital coaxial audio connection to your AV receiver. You should make use of the DVD player’s audio connections to access the digital surround sound.

5. You can use either the CD player’s analog or the digital audio outputs to the receiver for connecting a CD-only player or changer to your AV receiver. In case you have a CD recorder, you should connect it to your AV receiver through the Audio Tape Recorder/playback input or output loop connections.

6. Next connect the TV monitor output of the AV receiver to one of the video inputs on your TV to enable you to view the video image from your VCR or the DVD player on your television after it passes through the AV receiver.

7. Connect the audio outputs of the TV to the Aux audio inputs on your AV receiver.

8. Connect your speakers to the AV receiver paying attention to the correct polarity.

9. It is time to connect the subwoofer line output of the AV receiver to the subwoofer.

10. Finally install your loudspeakers.
