Denon DVD Players

One of the premier models of Denon DVD players is Denon DVD-2910. If you decide to buy this player online, the well packed box will contain a Denon RC-985 remote control, two AA batteries, one user manual, one power cord and one set of 1 meter of RCA interconnects. The front panel looks modern and classy. The circular buttons are easy to press. When you switch on the Denon, you find a button emitting green light. If you put it in a standby mode, a red light appears. The front panel contains all the information necessary to operate the DVD-2910. The back panel of the player displays all the output connections. The HDMI and DVI connections are fitted into the chassis with sufficient reinforcement. It must be noted that if the connections are not reinforced properly, they will wobble and rock inside the chassis and in course of time they lose contact.

The player also has a detachable power cord which conforms to the best standards and guidelines for making cables. The DVI cable, therefore, works flawlessly and without sparking or artifacting. The Impact Acoustics DVI cable has excellent shielding so there is no noise or RF interference in it. It is made of exceptional quality.

The DVD player is also accompanied by an instruction manual which is easy to read and understand. You just need to press the Set up button on the RC-985 remote control and you enter the setup menu which is easy to use and navigate. Besides English, the instructions are written in almost all the important languages of the world.

If you opt to use the HDMI or DVI connection and your black level is too low or the image appears washed out, you need to select the enhanced level option and the problem will be rectified.

You can use the set up menu for configuring the audio set up. The first setting is for audio channel speaker configuration. You may choose either the default multi channel system or 2 channel SRS off or 2 channel SRS on. If you highlight the Multi-channel setting, you may be taken to the sub menu which contains the speaker configuration, channel level, delay time, audio set ups and the internal test tone generator for the player. You can apply the test tone separately to the front left, front right, center, surround right, surround left and subwoofer channels.
