The recorders demonstrate the company’s commitment to high picture quality and operational convenience. They offer the use of improved image technology and dual RW/R format compatibility combined with i.LINK DV editing technology.

Both the Sony RDR-GX700 and RDR-GX300 recorders have the capability to simultaneously record and playback and also chase the play feature to enable you to watch your DVDs while recording and skip the scenes to catch up with real time. There is a provision for timer recording options and downloading the titles from the tele text on to title lists by using thumbnail images. These title lists are comfortably displayed with the thumbnail images that make the recording and accessing the content quite easy and simple.

A special feature of the Sony RDR-GX700 DVD Recorder is that it allows you to easily create your own DVDs by using your camcorder footage. The iLINK technology enables the recorder to act as an editing machine when a compatible camcorder is plugged in. Just one touch of button can transfer all the home video footage to DVD. If you want to edit a DVD, you need to select the scenes on your camcorder. The ‘Program Edit’ feature will control and simultaneously record the selected scenes. It is as simple as this.

The design of the recorders ensures that each processing phase of creating a DVD is imbibed with quality by employing Time Base Correction, Pre Frame Noise Reduction and Pre Video Equaliser technologies. These technologies minimize the jitter and noise before the encoding process even begins. VBR MPEG encoding is use encode the content which optimizes the picture clarity.

After the processing is complete, the Frame Noise Reduction, Block Noise Reduction, and Video Equaliser techniques together ensure the creation of rich and balanced images and minimization of interference caused by the background artefacts and distortion.
